Middle School

Years 7-9.

The educational program for years 7 to 9 is based on the academic subjects of:

• Maths

• English

• Social Studies

• Science

• Word Building

• Literature and Creative Writing

Elective subjects include:

• Bible reading

• Art

• LOTE

• Health/Nutrition Science

• Keyboarding

High school students may choose high school elective subjects for their course of study. Students who work at or above PACE 1085 are working toward their year 10 ACE certificate. This takes 2.5 to 3 years to complete, depending on the student’s ability.

This educational program provides a quality education for the child. It emphasises the student as an individual in the areas of academics, character development, and spiritual development.

The program trains the student in goal setting, individualised learning, self assessment, and in completing tests. It enables the parent to be fully aware of what the child is learning and how he/she is progressing.

ACHS recommends that parents encourage the child to pursue interests and hobbies best suited to them and ensure their child experiences extra-curricular activities, for example: art, music, physical education, life skills.
